I brought in a few things to use around the house, first up is the bag that used to hang on the door. When Christmas came along it got replaced with a wreath and so was sent to 'storage' We have 2 bathrooms and both of them are very small and lack any kind of storage, this being an old victorian I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. When we go shopping for things like toilet paper, shampoo, etc. we buy in larger quantities but then once home we are trying to figure out where to store it. I may have solved the tp storage problem this week by putting it in the bag! It can hold 30 rolls so this just may work! Forgive the photo, neither of our bathrooms have a window so I had to leave the lights on. (before blogging I would have done that anyway) I really appreciate all of the photography tips everyone shares!
This bag is now holding the eucalyptis, but what I really wanted to show off is the dress form that is wearing her new vintage cotton slip sent to me from a dear friend in TN. My daughter got the scarf for Christmas and so when I am not wearing it I leave it on her so I can find it easier!
This was headed for the barn but when putting away the only Christmas decorations that have been taken down (yup I said it, the tree is still up) I decided to fill the bottom of the birdcage with a set of lights and put it on top of the entertainment center. It has a sweet glow at night.
Well I thought I would have much more to share this week but our family had more pressing issues to take care of. So maybe this week I will start crossing things off of my list.
we'll see.
I'm going to link this up to Donnas party Sat. Night Special over at Funky Junk, I saw some cool ideas over there using different things as containers and thought I would share the apple bag.
Thanks for stopping by, I'm still playing catch-up on checking out what everyone is up to, and ofcourse am filled with inspiration from all that I see! Theresa xoxo

Ah, Theresa! What a clever idea that looks fantastic! I also love the mannequin and your scarf. Looks like the barn is going to have to start borrowing from the house! LOl.

Hi, Theresa. I love the apple bag and the lights in the birdcage. Great idea! Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever way to store your toilet paper. I was like you after Christmas, couldnt stand the though of not having anything pretty to look at so I put some Christmas lights in a tall candle holder. I love how it looks and I love your bird cage with the lights.
ReplyDeleteVery clever TP holder! I would be honored to have you add it to my blog party

Now that is a cool T.P. bag :) Love your barn saves! & to think they were all gonna be stored away :) Love the lights in the bird cage too! I can imagine the glow!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a good weekend!
You and I do so much in common as we have discovered numerous times. My TP is stored in an old sap bucket. It only holds 10 rolls but they are the Scott brand 1000 sheet ones. lol

That bag makes even toilet paper storage look great!
ReplyDeleteHey there my friend, thanks for stopping by and the great comments you left! Such exciting news for me and it did start the New Year off with a bang, lol! Love your TP holder, what a great use for storage, and I can totally relate to storage being an issue. We have a small house too but not a beautiful Victorian, just a little house in the country. And right now only one bathroom! Thank God there is only 3 of us, lol! Well hope it slows down for you soon and you can get back into a creative routine. I'm still trying to do that too, lol!
ReplyDelete((Hugs)) and Take Care, Theresa
TP never looked so good!!
ReplyDeleteI happen to have way too many birdcages right now for sale at the antique mall, and putting a set of lights inside is a great idea! I think birdcages are a great home decor item, and always suggested to customers that they put a grouping of pillar candles inside. Your idea is easier and safer, especially if you have young kids or pets.
ReplyDeleteI've been feeling ultra-inspired lately too! It's so much fun to hop around and see all the creative folks beavering away in the winter.

These are all such fantastic ideas, and I especially love the glowing bird cage with its own, teeny-tiny wreath.
ReplyDeleteThat Bag! My friend has a horse racing theme in her family room and bathroom because her grandfather was a jockey...wouldn't a horse feed bag be totally awesome for tp! Love your pics...Jennifer
ReplyDeleteJust thinking of you & came by to say hi! Another look at your toilet paper was worth the visit :)
ReplyDeleteHi Theresa! I just popped over from Vicki's at Rusty Rooster because I noticed that you live 30min away from GR! Where abouts are you? I also wanted to ask you about becoming a vegetarian. Would you share with me why you did? How you did it? How you get past the cravings? If you've lost any weight by doing so? I've always been curious about becoming a vegetarian (or whatever you call one who eats fish and dairy?). I'd love to hear your thoughts on it all. :)
