What? a 200 follower giveaway!!!

So I've been working on a little something, something for a while now, but I wanted to know I had it right before I put it out there in etsy land. I loved making our laundry soap so much that I am now making it to sell in The Old White House, along with reusable dryer 'sheets' made with vintage cotton bedding with wonderful prints and filled them with lavender. My kitchen smells heavenly!
This is the full sized bag of laundry soap, scented with lavender essential oil and all natural~safe for the earth and your family~ ingredients. It is double bagged, a muslin inner bag that you cut the top to open and a reusable/refillable cotton bag with a drawstring to close it. It also smells wonderful but is not overpowering on your clothes, and let me tell you... doing laundry has never been so RELAXING!!!
These are the dryer 'sheets' they freshen your clothes with lavender and are reusable, you just store them in an airtight container (I keep mine in the dryer with the door shut cuz we do A LOT of laundry) and then give them a good crunch in your hand before you toss them in with your laundry. easy peasy! No more chemical filled dryer sheets that are clogging up our landfills, and no more chemicals on your families skin!
This is my trial size... you get enough soap to do 8 or 16 loads of laundry, depending on the type of washer you have. The HE washers will get 16 loads or if you do smaller loads well then only 1 tbsp. will work for you! Yup, that's right only 1 tbsp. per load, how crazy is that?!!!
So there you have it... I have been handing out samples all over the neighborhood and to family and to strangers to get some feedback, everyone LOVES this soap and the dryer 'sheets' are a big hit too!
Here's where you come in... I don't know if you noticed this but I have recently acquired just over 200 followers! CRAZY!!!
I never thought that I would have that many people who care about what I have to ramble on about or see the silly things I do. And then ... there you are, waiting in the wings for me to post something! Cmon let me think you are waiting in the wings o.k.? ;)
Seriously, I love blogging ~ just ask my family ~ You all have been so welcoming to me, listened to me while I share a little bit about life here at 612. I have met some amazing people here, and am enjoying the journey so much! There are so many inspiring people out there in blogland and I have made so many friends with some of the best!

I really want to thank those of you who comprise those 202 followers, who for no other reason but my charming personality and slightly skewed craft photos have decided to follow me... now where we are going, I can't be sure but I will tell you this, Hang on it could be a bumpy ride! I vote we all take the bus and enjoy the ride!

So here's how it goes:
If you are ALREADY a follower, leave me a comment and let me know why you follow me.
That's it.
I tried to do this another way and just surprise a follower by picking a number between 1 and 202 but I couldn't figure out how on blogger to see my followers by numbers.

SOOOOOOO, remember this contest is just for those who are already followers...
Not that there won't be future giveaways for everyone, but I really want to thank those of you who follow me without the carrot dangling in plain sight! ;)

What do you win? Why, some fabulous handcrafted laundry items from The Old White House ~ The Clothes Line section of course!!! Plus you just know that I usually can't resist throwing in some extra goodies, just cuz I like you that much!!!

Go ahead let me have it... I will pick a winner one week from today... August 26th!

I'm linking this up to one of my favorite parties... White Wednesday stop by and visit Kathleen and the rest of the party goers!

Thanks for stopping by, truly! Theresa xoxo

  3. Theresa you caught my eye with your crazy sense of humor. I can't remember off hand what post it was but I remember commenting that your blog was a breath of fresh air. It is just so simple and what I love, family, art,and a simple way of life. You are so talented and fun to read.
I get a kick out of your family stories and the pictures you share.
It is eerie how much we seem to have in common as well. Not only birthday weeks but style and tastes.
I always look forward to your new post and when you comment on mine. You make me smile.
I am so happy for you finding something that you love to do and want to share it with everyone you know.
Congrats on your 200+ followers and I am sure that number will continue to grow as you continue to just be you and share it with all of us.
Thanks for all the kindness you have shared

  7. Hi Theresa,
I'm a follower...Oh my gosh, this is GORGEOUS!!! What an amazing idea you came up with and it is beautiful...wow. I agree, the picture is so beautiful, you should use it on your header...
And why do I come to your blog? Because you're so sweet, that's why!
But, one other thing, I was raised right near Riverside Drive in California and when I saw it for the first time, I thought we were from the same home town!
Oh, but I forgot--your header is awesome, so I don't know how you can have this pic on here all the time, but it is beautiful!
    Love,
    Cindy

  9. Why am I a follower...hmmm? For one thing you entertain me! That's why I wait in the wings...the show is so much better from that view! You always have wonderful tips and treasures. Because I am artistically challenged (they don't allow me scissors here in the home), I'm always in awe of those like yourself who are. Finally, you always leave me the sweetest, most heart felt comments. Who doesn't love that. Put them all together and they spell Y-O-U...are you singing this? Remember, I love to laugh and you never fail to deliver!
    Debbie
P.S. With or without a carrot, I'd follow just for the fun you provide! BUT...that laundry soap does sound heavenly!

  12. Hi Theresa, you are always coming up with the most clever ideas. These are the most charming laundry detergent and dryer sheets I have ever, ever seen. I imagine if my pjs could smell like lavendar, I would be sleeping tight every night. :) I wish I was one of your neighbors so I could have snagged a free sample. They are just adorable and will be a big seller for you I am sure. Who doesn't want to go green? Best wishes for a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend. Tammy

  16. ...sometimes you just meet someone you feel an instant kinship towards...and their hearts desires are very similar to your very own. Providing a better way of life for our dear families, such as these wonderful new products you are offering is just an example of that! I adore the picture of you holding the basket of something I take very great care in doing for my own family ~ living a more "green" life can be a little extra effort...and doing laundry is something I actually enjoy, especially hanging the clothes on the clothes line!! I would loooooovvvvvvve to have some charming laundry products for my "greener laundry room!
Congrats on your many followers, I'm so happy to be one of them :)

  23. Thanks for stopping by. I can see why you would not sell your art work in an antiques booth, you would never get what it i worth. you can ask a lot more on the web, it is just a lot more work. 35% seems like a lot, but that is probably about what I pay with rent and 10% of sales. It is a ton of fun, you know that from consignment. If you get a booth and have any questions, please holler.
