This Wednesday I've got a little planter to share and then a proud mom post... This mailbox was on our house when we moved in. I could not just throw it away, I loved the eagle on it and all and well I'm really bad at throwing things away. there I said it. So here it is in all it's past glory.
A little spray paint and some impatients and I have a new planter. I think my enter sign is actually too big so I will be on the search for a new sign. I think it's so sweet. I know it looks like it's hanging from a very cool shabby, chippy backdrop for photos but alas this is the barn that still needs to be painted. Hey, I have 3 weeks until Cams party!
Here is the bragfest part of this post... Cams graduation was Monday night. I think I only have maybe 2 or 3 pics of him not doing the thumbs up. really. I am so proud of this guy...
As well as the rest of these goof balls! I just know one of the older ones (probably Danielle) said something completely inappropriate to get them to laugh this hard! I have a bunch of these in different stages of hilarity. OMG. they crack me up sometimes! As you can see John and Cam can keep their composure better than the rest.
cuz they don't like to smile in photos. really. Max looks like he is willing himself not to laugh again. So that's todays post, it feels like I've been gone forever. It's been crazy busy around here.
Thanks to everyone for all of your support and encouraging words about the show. It went really well, lots of positive feedback, met some wonderful people, sold lots, and had a great time. I am still looking for a couple of more shows to do this summer and maybe some toward Christmas. I met a fellower etsier and she gave me lots of great info. on shows in her area of Mich.. I also met a great lady who does the Texas show and knows a few of my favorite bloggers. That was pretty cool, she also had lots of good info. to share with me. All in all it was a fabulous time, and I am so glad I did it.
Again, thank you all for your support, your comments mean so much and I appreciate all of them. I don't want to gush but the inspiration and encouragement this blog brings to me through you is so wonderful. Thank you seems like not a big enough word for what I want to say. TRULY.
Thanks for stopping by, Theresa xoxo

What a great looking family. Congratulations to Cam on his graduation. You are lucky you got some pictures. My son's graduation was in the evening and it was inside (major thunderstorms that night). Couldn't get any pics before the event and then after it was too stormy to stand around outside. The couple of inside shots I got were terrible.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at his party....and I love the mailbox turned into a planter!

Your mailbox redo looks lovely with the flowers. I have an old mailbox on the wall inside my home office to store envelopes. So glad you didn't get rid of that one. Congrats to your son too! Pam @ Sallygoodin
ReplyDeleteTheresa,
ReplyDeleteI swear I could see you smiling as you wrote this post. The Proud Mama Smile I call it. You have every right to be!
Congratulations on all the good things happening in your world.

Theresa, you are so sweet. I really enjoyed your post. When I was looking through the links, I knew the mailbox with flowers was yours -- it is so you and so darling. A huge congratulations to that handsome son of yours, Cam. He sure does look like you, Theresa. Thank you for linking these unique "bragables" to the Boardwalk Bragfest. Does Cam know he's a "bragable"? Sure he does.
ReplyDeleteHi Theresa! What a proud moment! My Son graduated last year and my Daughter will finish HS in 2011. They grow up fast, don't they?? Enjoy every moment!!!

WHAT a GREAT idea to use that as a planter...it's lovely and so SMART! I LOVE it! Congratulations on your sons graduation...that's fantastic and he looks so happy! I saw this on my first White Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful family! And at my house, one of the kids would have been pinching another kid on the cheeks (and you know which ones...)to get them to all laugh.
ReplyDeleteI have a fabulous show just right down the street from me. I promise that Libbie, my mom and I will buy all the things in your booth if you would come. And you can bunk out on my couch too! Cross that out, I will even get you your own room! And maybe I can even throw in a bathroom!!! Sigh, would you need that bathroom clean? Maybe scratch out the bathroom...

Theresa, I love your family pics, very charming! I can't believe I missed the show last weekend....I got so busy with my own antique mall stuff that I didn't fit it into my schedule. Your space looked adorable, and I'm glad you had a great expereince at Jill's. I don't do shows anymore because they are just too much work for this 'ole gal!
