signs of spring...

I heard a bit of a ruckus outside the window and saw a sweet pair of little parents making a new home on my porch!

daddy standing guard...

while momma inspects her work and adds bits more fluffing.
I helped her out when I saw that they had flown away and put some string and yarn on the chair nearby.

I can't wait to share this with the kids when they get home.
I hope we don't scare them too much, this is actually a pretty busy porch!
I will keep you updated when the babies show up!

a bit more spring...

Hannah brought me in this sweet bouquet yesterday.
I know, I'm a lucky mom:)

The mantle is now springified!

a bit more spring...

Counting freckles on Hannah's 13th birthday!
I think they just add to her beauty...

Saturday was not only John's graduation, but also Hannah's 13th birthday!

Waiting at the stadium for the festivities to begin.

a bit more spring...

Saturday was also prom for Cam and his girlfriend Audrey!

Audrey is a senior so this is their last high school prom.
I love this picture of them.  She always has that big smile and well Cam just looks so sweet.

Happy Spring!!!

love,
Theresa xoxo

  1. Gnab her dress for me! I really don't think I could carry it off like her though. Ok, I know I couldn't! Lovely girl! Hanna is a gorgeous girl! Love every single one of her freckles! My son came home from school one day, upset cause the kids were teasing him because of his freckles. I sat down to talk to him. I don't want to give my kids the "it doesn't matter what they think honey" speech. It does matter at that age. So instead I pointed to a freckle and told him "But I love this one" and kissed it. Sat there for an hour pointing to his freckles and kissing them while he just giggled. Now when he comes home all sad, he will point to a freckle and say "they were teasing me about this freckle Mom" so I'll kiss it. He says it makes him feel better. Can't wait to see pics of your new "babies".

  3. oh & I jealous about those birds! How fun for the kids to watch! We always had a nest somewhere on our front porch growing up too & we could not wait for little eggs to appear!

Cam & Audrey do look adorable! Oh the memories they are making, I love what Maggie (Grandma Yellow Hair) said in one of her posts, "I knew then that I was making a happy memory." I just love that :)

Oh Hannah & all her freckles! Gorgeous! I LOVE freckles! Annie has 11. She used to have 9. So when you said counting freckles that made me smile so big because I love counting freckles with Annie...& she loves when I do!

Spring finally is peeking out around here & just in time...I couldn't take one more day in the 30s I'm afraid. Op...kids screaming upstairs I better go investigate.

  5. Oh my Theresa, I can't believe how many of your posts I've missed (but I've been catching up now, lol) I had to shed a little tear on your Proud Mama moments with your Oldest son and the college post, I almost felt like I was there with you ;) Also I Love all the freckles (a little secret here, when I was a kid I always WANTED freckles, lol, go figure!) And I also Love Red hair (I had Auburn, and still love it, tho there's alot of grey in there now, lol)! You have adorable kids, a very good lookin bunch there and very good to their Mama! But your a good Mama to your kids!
Your porch is lookin good, that's why the birdie wanted to live there, she wanted a nice fancy home to raise her kiddies in too and what better place then yours! I've had a few new additions to our little country family. What perfect timing with your post, I just posted some pics on my blog today, when you get a chance go and check them out, I think you'll get a kick out it! Well I'll try and not slack so much with my comments but boy, work sure gets in the way of fun time, I have alot of catching up to do, lol!

  6. I'm betting you will be using the back door for awhile. We had to growing up when we had robins every spring on our front porch light. :D

and ditto what everyone else said about freckles etc.... what a cute couple - they look so young to me now that I am a few years on the other side of these events....

    Happy Wednesday dear!
