playing around...

I stumbled upon this pin today...

which led me to playing around with my camera again.
I haven't been very happy with the way my pictures have been turning out
and so this was a very welcome break in my organizing
and cleaning frenzy.

very welcome.

favorite fall boots.

small gourds that I bought at the farmers market on Saturday.
wearing favorite fall boots.

crazy growth on tree in front yard.
yes, you needed to see that.

I know that I just showed you this 2 posts ago,
but honestly didn't you need to see it
again in a much clearer version?

too early for a white turkey to make its appearance?

o.k. sorry for the dark photo, but there is no window anywhere near this bathroom wall
and I wanted to show you the wire heart that I made
when my brother Pat taught me how to weld.
I was entrusted to hold a very hot and dangerous tool people!
that is a huge deal!!!

O.k... hopefully I will remember everything I learned today
and you will be seeing some better photos from me!

Theresa xoxo

  1. Love that you welded those cute little framed hearts. I always think a girl with power tools can do anything boys can do. You go girl!

  2. o.k., I am going to print this out and carry it with me...maybe it will help!! Thanks for the tips and the great shots. Love that mushroom!

  3. Arghhh...another thing to put in my guilty baggage. I need digital photography for dummies. I was sorta ok with my old digital camera, but my son bought me a digital camera a few years ago and I'm embarrassed to admit I don't even know where the aperture and ISO settings are. Yikes. My pictures stink. Yours, tho, are looking positively delightful Miss Theresa!! (Love those boots!) ;o) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

  4. Welding now Theresa??? WOW! You are da bomb girl!!!
    I love your beautiful pictures!
    sending hugs...

  5. Photos are fab and I am diggin' that cool gourd!
Weld? Yay you. I have a brass bed that needs some welding.... Interested ?

  6. I just love to mess with tools , especially power tools . I haven't tried welding though , sounds like fun ! Good for you girl !
I love the picture with the funny growth on the tree .

  7. Congratulations on learning to weld! That's quite an accomplishment. I'll be looking forward to seeing your images of our beautiful fall leaves in Michigan....

  8. I could use some more practise, too- Theresa,
love your new bought pumpkins, with the long stem-and your photoes looks great and sharp-all, --I would also love to try welding- love all the things one can do with such a tool.

  9. Love the gourd shot the best.
I struggle with my photos too. Sometimes I love them and the next I want to delete all of them.
    Lighting is so important!

  10. I had to chuckle when I saw that mushroom growth coming out of your tree. I had a tree that did the same thing (only larger) and I actually...if you can believe this...had a passerby knock on my door one day and ask if they could cut them off because they were good for eating!!!!??? I said...sure...go for it. They brought me back some to try after they cooked it, and I must say...I said thank you so much and then I promptly threw them in the trash after they left. Sorry...just couldn't do it. :)
    Blessings & hugs,

  11. That checklist is super helpful. Thank you for sharing it because I will most definitely be putting it to use.

Thank you so much for visiting me here at The Old White House, your comments make my day! ~ Theresa xoxo
