weekend plans...

The forecast is calling for sunny skies in the early part of the day tomorrow, which is perfect,
because you will be able to find us here at the

actually right about in this area, between Sheds 2&3
in front of the Welcome Center.

We will have lots and lots of this,
our natural lavender laundry and cleaning provisions

and these,
our lavender soy candles,

can't forget the repurposed art jewelry,
aka: the baubles.

After the market, for the rest of the weekend,
you can find me here...

here

still here,

here,

riding the trails with this guy,

and ending my days here
with the same guy...

and of course taking time from our weekend to remember
the reason for the day...
to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice so that we can
do all of the things I mentioned above.

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend,
Happy Memorial Day!
love,
t.xoxo

let the soldering commence...

(waiting for jump rings)

just a quick sneak peek at some of the new
soldered pendants for this weekends show...

4th Annual Recycled Art Market
held at
City High/Middle School
1400 Fuller Ave NE
Grand Rapids, MI.
I am so excited about this show,
at least 50% of your artwork must be recycled.
love that.

I think that the upcoming election must be having
a subconscious effect on my artistic choices...
as I picked through a bag of vintage stamps my love of
our country and history took over and I chose
the presidents over flowers.
I also added the Statue of Liberty, and some historical landmarks
along with crystals, old marbles, beach glass
and a truly wonderful wooden pink yardstick
that was broken, now is found...
as soldered charms.

Lots more to do,
much creative brainstorming going on over here!

My east coast babes are well,
and for that I am eternally thankful.

My babes at home are down with
the flu and on good advice
we are going to be getting some grape juice today,
Thanks Z!
So no trick or treating pics to show,
we stayed in and watched movies.

O.k... back to work

Thanks for stopping by,
I always enjoy your company!
love,
Theresa

weekend update...

My weekend was full.

I spent many hours at my work table
o.k. working at the dining room table because my work table is too messy.

"honesty is always the best policy"
I just heard my mom whisper to me as I wrote that.

(is it really work if you love it so much?)

I hadn't made cuffs in a very long time, but I do love the process so it was a cuff fest @ 612!

All of the photo images are from Land of Nod Studio's
It's an amazing site for some free old photos,
I was especialy drawn to the altered children.
Thank you Deborah!

With the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, I was feeling an even stronger than usual sense of patriotism.
The monument is beautiful.
The stories so heartwrenching.
Our country's finest heroes brought to the light once more.

So because pumpkins are also on my mind and agenda
I came up with one made of ticking with a vintage image of school children transferred on a small flag.

There was also some shopping at the farmer's market....

plus ~  bike riding, grilling, a trip on our riverwalk.

and ofcourse lots and lots of this...

are they adorable or what?

I recently found this sign on Pinterest...

I really need this in my yard!
They convert from swords to light sabers at a moments notice!

I hope you had an eventful weekend as well.

love,
Theresa xoxo
